We often hear – what a cool job we have, cooperation and communication with the stars, you can be at cool events, create and give a holiday, eat and relax at events, and even earn money for it … Isn’t that a dream job? No! Not really, as many people who are not associated with organizing parties think.
So, organizing holidays – it’s definitely a very cool job and there are many pluses, but there are of course also minuses, because the organizer of the events – this is one of the most stressful jobs, which is one of the top five in the world. Top 5 !!!
Pros and cons in the event organizer profession:
STRESS
The biggest disadvantage is of course the stress that any Event Organizer experiences when organizing events. Organizing a holiday is a very high emotional burden, starting from the preparation phase of the event and ending with the very holding of the holiday.
The organizer always has a huge responsibility for the event he organizes, both financial and legal. And very rarely are holidays perfectly, without force majeure, of course, and there are always stressful situations.
An experienced organizer foresees all situations as much as possible still in the planning stage and will do everything to minimize force majeure that may occur. But the beginner will be much harder, because he’s not yet experienced enough and can not foresee everything that can happen at the upcoming event.
OPERATION MODE
Many people are used to working in the standard mode: Monday through Friday, from 9:00 to 18: 00 … But it’s definitely not about eventers! We do not have a schedule, as office clerks. We work on weekdays at our computers, with the development of proposals for the client, calculations, etc. And in the evenings – can be brainstorming, creativity, preparation for future events. But at the weekend are usually events that we have to accompany.
The conclusion is this – the organizer of the event can work for 100 hours a week, instead of 40. Weekends Eventor most likely will spend on projects, organizing events, instead of kebabs with friends or family. Well, and of course you need to be in touch 24/7.
PLUSES FROM THE ORGANISER’S WORK:
Despite the above minuses, the pros are actually much more. If you have decided to become an event organizer, are not afraid of difficulties and stress-resistant, then you will definitely like this work and it can be devoted to many years, because in the field of events – no restrictions and this area is constantly evolving, without any limitation, respectively, and each organizer is also constantly evolving and learning.
One of the pluses is working with artists. Many of us have not even dreamed of seeing your favorite artist, and in the field of events – it’s all possible! Not only to see your favorite star, but also to work with him, to communicate, to be photographed, etc.
Also a big plus – is the work at different locations, which are unlikely to visit in real life, and organizing events – you get to almost all locations, sometimes as an organizer, and sometimes as a guest – when the location makes a presentation for the organizers, with drinks, food, program – and you get a full-time and completely free))
Satisfied customers – is the best praise for the work done. When the event took place – you can breathe, but when the client is completely satisfied, and even better – when reality exceeds expectations – this is the best for any event organizer.
