Executive Director Tim Corpus elected Board President of the Illinois Council of Orchestras

The Illinois Council of Orchestras is excited to announce new administration in the 2019-20 Season. The Board of Directors have elected Tim Corpus as the new Board President starting in July 2019, succeeding Susan Lape. Mr. Corpus has been a member of the Board of Directors of ICO since 2017. The Council has also hired Kaytie Faries as the new Executive Director, succeeding Lauren Moldenhauer who has been in the role since 2016.

“It’s an exciting time of growth for the council,” said Mr. Corpus. “I’m pleased to be able to support the organization as a Board Member and now as its President. The state of Illinois has many orchestras with a variety of needs and opportunities. I look forward to working more with the member orchestras and our Board of Directors to further the mission of the Council.”

“Tim and Kaytie will be bring new energy and ideas to the organization and I’m excited to continue to work with them on the Board of Directors”, said Ms. Lape. Currently the Executive Director of the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra, Ms. Lape became Board President of the Illinois Council of Orchestras in 2017 and will continue on as a Board Member. During her time with the organization she oversaw the hiring of two Executive Directors and expanded membership of the Board of Directors.
