  • Three concert pairs will take place in Lake Forest at the Gorton Community Center and two concert pairs will take place in Grayslake at the College of Lake County.

  • Music Director Vladimir Kulenovic describes the 2019/20 season one of the organization’s “most adventurous” seasons in 62 years.

  • The Symphony will perform two premieres: Symphony No. 3 “Visions” by Composer in Residence James Stephenson (professional premiere) and Concerto Precipitato by Maestro Kulenovic’s father, Vuk Kulenovic (American premiere).

  • The Masterworks Series will include works by Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Florence Price, Bernstein, Kodaly, Mozart, Haydn, and Beethoven.

  • The Salon Series continues with four concerts in Lake Forest. The 2018-19 Season saw immense growth in this series: 94% increase in attendance and a 90% increase in ticket sales! This season will again feature players from the Symphony, including a performance by the cello section and a holiday brass concert in December 2019.

  • The 62nd Season closes with a celebration of Beethoven’s 250th birthday in a performance of his 9th Symphony. This will be the finale of the Beethoven Symphony Cycle, originally started in 2014. The performance of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony will also be the premiere of the Lake Forest Symphony Chorus.

  • Guest artists include Concertmaster Netanel Draiblate performing Tchaikovsky’s Concerto for Violin, and Principal Clarinetist Kathryne Pirtle performing Mozart’s Concerto for Clarinet.
