Music in the garden
June 24, 2018
2:00pm - 4:00pm
We were thrilled to have perfect weather, a fantastic turnout, and phenomenal music. We are pleased to announce that thanks to our more than 230 guests, we raised over $24,000 for our music education and outreach initiatives, which includes putting Lake Forest Symphony musicians in schools across Lake County.
Attendees enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres from Heller Catering, fine wines from Imagery Winery & Chloe Wine Collections and superb performances by musicians from Lake Forest High School and Music Institute of Chicago.
While audiences enjoyed the sunshine, lakefront breeze and Tuscan-inspired architecture by David Adler, special guest artists Kaylin Liu and Lake Forest Symphony Concertmaster Netanel Draiblate performed. The 1916 lakeside Italian villa provided a fascinating centerpiece to the architectural tours by the Lake Forest Preservation Foundation.

This season, Music in the Garden will take place in a magnificent Italian Villa built by David Adler in 1916. The home features Tuscan columns and a beach front courtyard considered to be one of Adler’s masterpieces. This 2.8 acre property will serve as a backdrop to elegant musical offerings performed by student musicians as well as our very own Lake Forest Symphony players.
