Though it hardly seems possible, this season I will be celebrating my tenth anniversary as Music Director of the Lake Forest Symphony. It has been an amazing experience, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have had these years working with superb professional musicians to bring area audiences over 100 performances of great music played at a world-class level.

How does one go about observing such an anniversary? Of course we will do it with yet more great music, from the fall concerts with favorite masterpieces by Tchaikovsky and Mendelssohn through winter offerings of Dvorák, Bernstein and Copland to the blockbuster spring finale with guest artist Rachel Barton Pine and the monumental “Titan” symphony of Mahler.

If you have already discovered the joys of attending Lake Forest Symphony concerts in the perfect acoustics and intimate setting of the James Lumber Center, you will need little enticement to guarantee your seats with a season subscription. If you have not yet heard one of our concerts, rest assured that you will consider the experience well worth the investment. In fact, we think that the Lake Forest Symphony experience is one of the best cultural bargains in the entire metropolitan area.

But act quickly: our most recent concert was completely sold out!
